This is exciting work. Very good.

I like the mood and look of the 1st one a lot. :)

They look nice.
I would feel like a child in a toy store with all the high detailed data you have  :)

Dune

Yes indeed, very nice stuff to play with. Some really nice shots!

it is fun indeed. I've used a mix of aerial imagery, terrain model and a large scale 3D city model over Wollongong in NSW, Australia as background data.

What is the best way to reduce the noise in the fog on the first pic?

These are awesome... Next the animation...?
Looking forward to that!
Love the light here and crisp detail

I'd love to make an animation. The last pic with the flying saucer took 13min to render :( but I will whenever I have some free rendering time.

Well in general, just up the samples. BUt there is a balancing act that others would give better advice on.

An animation? Oh yes. I love me some new animations! But you are sad about 13 min? Dont be sad about 13 min. Be sad about two hundred hours ;)

It is subjective too as it looks. I have a animated scene that takes nearly 4 hour to render for 1 frame :)

For the noise i would look first at the AA, detail settings in the render node.
Then for the Quality option in the Cloud node. And at last in Atmosphere node Quality settings.
It depends on your settings like if you have Receive shadows from surface  on or off too.

Write or post some images of those settings here for more help if you want.

I've increased AA to 3 which gives good enough results with a  17min rendering time for this one.

I still see lots of noise (though may be JPG related). AA is not going to help cloud or atmosphere noise *at all* unless raytrace atmosphere is enabled (it is off by default, and we only recommend enabling it in specific circumstances). I would look first at cloud Quality.

Aerometrex

Thanks for that.
For my purpose it is good enough as I'm working on an Oculus Rift 360 degrees Stereo panorama (and may be animation later down the path ;).

This a little preview at low quality of a Left-Right image using the new stereo camera (the flying saucer is actually 1km from the camera). I'm working on the stitching at the moment. Very exiting time ahead :)

If the scene is full of ray traced objects, then the atmosphere over those objects will be affected by anti-aliasing regardless of the defer atmo/cloud setting. So then I would recommend enabling defer atmo/cloud to ensure consistency between the terrain and the objects.

Just because milk is white doesn't mean that clouds are made of milk.
