I think you're on track with the colours, just actual cloud treatment is where the differences are.

Yes, you need more layers and soft ones too. Nice start.

archonforest

Thx Bobby and Dune. More layers...hmmm yes...Luc got 3 layers or at least 3 diff cloud formations so I will also put more :)

Really not bad.

Yes - some more cloud layers could even improve.

Thx.

It's better, IMO, but you also play with the fractal settings to add a little more softness to the clouds. Or combine a hard and softer fractal in one cloud layer, perhaps even exact copies (in space) from eachother but where one a has different softness of the fractal, lots of possibilities.

Luc

Nice start.. but why to try to copy mine ?

My approach has been to take few real photos of clouds/sunset and observe them to inspire me... I advice you to do the same, I am sure you will obtain very good picture

Of course you can also buy the preset and adapt it to your needs ;-)

Thx Dune. Playing with the softness right now. Here is another version that I think looks pretty okay. Another way softer is rendering now. Will see....

Thx Luc. I do not want to copy yours just do something nice like that. Your render is very inspirational! ;)
