This scene will be one of the last one I will make for over half a year as
I have a job in the industry now and won't be able to work on Terragen that much plus medical
reasons will pretty soon make it hard or impossible for me to be online for a long while.
The objects in this scene are not mine. Any feedback on the scene is as always appreciated.
I tried to make a scene that mixed some old buildings with new electric post's so
you can maybe say its a small city lost in the middle of no where that didn't have much change
in it except for some power lines added in the early 2000's to make connections with 2 more newer cities.

Ps: I was doing an animation a couple of weeks ago but had to stop it because of time.
So that animation will never be finished.

The first image is only a very low res render the more detailed one will be up as soon as the render is done.

Waiting on the "big" one.............hope everything works out for you in the future.  ;)

choronr

The best for you in the future. Looking forward to your next project.

Dune

Sorry to see you go, but I wish you all the best! Take care.

Thank you all for your kind words.
So this would be a more advance stage of the environment I am making I guess. I added grass, better sun detail and clouds and lost the rocks. Added better texture for the train and for the building they now have a normal map and specular. The scene is as you can see a bit dark?, so need to fix that and get maybe more trees or different ones. As always feedback would be amazing.

Sorry you're having an enforced break, the scene shows promise. Do come back when your situation allows....

I think it's a pity you don't see the train that good (I didn't recognize it as one at first); maybe another pov would be good. Perhaps even so that some windows reflect the sun and you create another point of interest. Also, some more variation in grass (more species, patchiness, some color variation), and more shrub and trees, as you mentioned. The hazy feel is really nice, IMO.

mhaze

Great start. Perhaps put the building on the other side of the train track?

Oshyan

This looks promising, yes. I would tilt the camera up a bit, or find a different PoV entirely (as Ulco mentioned). The atmosphere is quite nice and the concept and basic structure of the scene is also good. More variation (color variation at least) in the grasses would be great too. Finally, as you said, it's a bit dark. You can increase exposure, but the sky is already fairly bright and you'd overexpose it (this is normal in real-world photography though). You could potentially increase Enviro Light Strength on Surfaces to brighten things up a bit, or increase sun strength a bit.

So I am still working on this scene and I changed a couple of things the sun position and the height of the sun. I also added some 3d objects and added plants I added a railroad track closer to the camera and changed the GI here is 2 pictures of it. The first one is one not totally finished and was rendered yesterday night early this morning and the second one was made this afternoon (the one where I changed the sun position and added new plants).

The change of the sun position and height helped a lot!
Are u gonna have a better resolution one for the second set up? It is very low res and hard to see but looks very promising for me! ;)

Looking better. I personally would make some/a Paint shader mask for some paths/simple roads to connect the buildings...

Both of the new versions look promising to me. Perhaps the most recent (F1) is most interesting, but hard to say.

So here is the render with better quality and yes, I will try to make some painted road soon, it is just that I never tried before...

That's looking really good already; if you do try paths etc., they should be subtle but in my opinion they're not really necessary seeing this image.
