Will do, but I got a bit distracted by your creativity and decided to make my own water on a Plane...workin' good so far. But the upshot is on my box your clouds take an age to render within the free version restrictions for size etc. Mine won't have you AAA or Detail settings so may be a bit noisy from test renders. still a cool and useful technique.  I've never saved terrains as a .tif out of Bryce...is that an obvious menu selection?
what you do is create your terrain in Bryce, go to the terrain editor and make your terrain however you want and what resolution you want, then simply press the com+c keys to copy, then open photoshop or whatever image editor, paste it in a new file the same size as the terrain res you used in Bryce and save the file out as a .tiff.

Cool thanks Clay, just found out on a Localized cloud you can rotate it on the X or Z as well as the Y using a Transform shader set to World, between the Fractal density and the cloud shader. You'll see later tonight in my first large test render.

O K, here goes. Tried your setup with some tweaks @ 1280x720 and after 6 hours and almost 1/2 way through spotted artifacts so cancelled out and went back to my normal method of tiny tests. TestSky04 was my preference so I rendered it at 900x506 but all are in the 'test strip'
In the attached .tgd you will find .tgc's of all the skies with only 04 connected. Simple enough to preview any of them that way.

Very cool Bobby, and sorry everyone I've been working in 1920x1080 mode for Hd, my dang monitor is 2560x1440, I need to adjust some settings for sure so that I don't see all the lil buggers in my own work. Anyways very cool renders, will give them a try!

P.S I like test 3 the best:-P

3 is 4 before I figured out what was causing the artifcacts along the horizon...too much height in the global/main cloud, and also had to take the texture up to 20480x20480 before the tiling disappears.
