Very calm and beautiful.
There's something about the scale. When you look at the water, it seems the camera is quite close. The pebbles seem to have the right size if they are meant to be these kind of stones people are trying to let jump over the water surface. (I think they should be wet)
But the birds seem to be way too small since they are quite close to the camera as well, when you look at their reflections. At the moment they have the size of insects, don't they?

Nice image.
But I didn´t see it right until I read Hannes´comment. My visual cortex interpretet it differently before that, and I liked it far more:
I saw a pebbled foreground and a far vista to a bay much lower and behind a lot of haze. I interpreted the reflections on your big smooth waves as islands and water in a tidal landscape behind that haze, it looked a bit strange but epic.
Look at the thumbnail, maybe you see what I mean.
Now I see what it´s meant to be, that´s also nice.

Jan

Nice image. I like the atmosphere, too.

The scaling:
what if you put one "sitting" bird on one of these stones (or any other "reference"-object)
And perhaps it helps to change the water to much smaller wave size?

Thanks very much for the comments.  The scaling I think is technically correct, but you are right it is visually confusing.  The camera is about 200mm above the stones, but the birds are quite a ways out over the water.  I'll have to take a look again, but some of the birds may also be above and out of view of the camera, perhaps causing some of the reflections.

Nice mood. I too find the water scale odd and the birds reflections confusing.
