I decided to render something to cool myself from the heat wave going on here.

Rendered at 4000x2200 (then cropped), 9-10 hour render and GI turned off.

Oh this is a really good render!
The water looks really really cold  :D Very nice choice of watercolour and good reflectionsettings.

The Alpine-fractal looks nice, though there are some very spiky areas.
Perhaps you've done additional displacements with high colour/displacement roughness and/or high spike limiting? If so, you might try reducing them.

Clouds and lighting are looking good as well. Only thing about the clouds/atmo is the quality.
I see you've rendered at 4000x2200, perhaps it'd be better to render it at a far lower resolution and to double the atmo/clouds samples to get rid of the grain.

Last thing is the composition: I'd raise the camera so the water would be covering about 1/3 of the image. This will look a lot more interesting.

Don't know if this is the final version, if not...I'm looking forward to see it :) Keep it up!

Martin

Beautiful lighting!  Great colors in the sky and nice looking terrain.  Your clouds are nice, although they could have benefitted from a little more quality.

Magnificent work.  Not to sound rendo-ish, but it really is.
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

I agree with T-U, other than that great job :)
The world is round... so you have to use spherical projection.

*sniff* If only I could get my base images to look so good i'd be able to do quite abit afterwards. (I do alot more photoshop with my terrain then terragen ;) )

Amazing man! Looks awesome!! I love the texture and quality of the landscape!

Thanks for the comments guys! I especially appreciate Martin's (Tangled-Universe's) criticisms. Though, I won't be editing this particular piece, I'm going to make something similar soon and will keep what you guys have said in mind.
