I'm trying to achieve a specular highlight on my rock face, not going for strict realism but something of a wet look. I plug in a reflective shader both on its own and separately as  a part of a default shader and am not getting the desired results. Either nothing happens at all (visibly) or the rock face goes completely black. Any ideas? Is there a best way to set this up,or any non intuitive settings I should be using? I'll post some tgc's later if I cant find a solution.
Thanks in advance

You can get simple specular highlights on surfaces, using a default shader. It has a tab with specularity settings. First you might try specularity @ 0.1 and roughness @ 0.25. You can also make the effect more subtle: increase roughness to about 0.5 and increase specularity to 0.5 or even higher.

Thanks
Iwas using the default shader but I had too much roughness in the displacement so it wasn't working satisfactorily, Dropped it way down and now all is sweet (well that issue is solved for now)
