I read in Terragen site that DEM compatibility are avaiable for TGD2, so what is the work flow...cause when I use heighfield load it doesn't show the DEM option. I have to convert it to ter before using...like old terragen??? thanks

Yes, you have to convert it to .ter for now.  Importing from other formats may be supported in the (rather far away) future.  If the DEM is in the form of an image you can try using the Image Map Shader to import it and then use that to apply displacement.

You can use the free 3DEM to convert many standard DEM formats to .ter. If you have more demanding needs and are willing to pay, there is nothing to match Global Mapper for range of formats supported (both import and export) and strength of georeferencing and stitching features.

Oshyan, you're supposed to be on vacation, lad.
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

Oshyan

Oh not yet. I leave this coming Sunday. Then I really will be out of touch, no option about it. I can't even sneak a peek at the forums - no Internet out there. ;) Or at least very, very slow Internet, which is about the same as none. :P

I'm assuming you're going to Burning Man?
