Based on that video (which was clearly edited) those drones move super fast, stop on a dime, are very maneuverable, have a long range, and receive perfect reception through concrete tunnels. And people worry about guns. Gonna be bad when some freak figures how to attach plastic explosive to these things.

They are pitchin' this as a spectator sport. They clearly spent some money on the video.............I doubt very seriously a "live" race would be as slickly produced.

Hilarious that someone could call this a sport. Definitely think it has some future to it in some way, but not a sport.

Just a few days ago they were discussing ways to take out dangerous drones, one of which is by birds of prey. Awesome to see an eagle grab a drone out of the sky.
The world is not what it used to be and I dread the future

When ever i hear the word drone, i think of something bad happening. I remember when we had things called UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles). Less menacing sounding for some reason.

ok, I'm gonna ask the really dumb question: how does the eagle keep his feet from getting cut up by the propellers?

I think they've got pretty tough feet, and the propellors are not very 'strongly' driven, so kind of stop immediately.
