I would like to thank those who guided me in the right direction to use the paint shader for density of an object placement. I  made an image with simulated vegetation many years ago in version 9. using surface layers, coverage, and altitude constraints. Rough as they may be, I have now made some of the vegetation (Blender), and successfully added them to that ancient file. I will work on it until I like it and use it as a screensaver or something. Retired people can experiment as time allows. Thanks to those who donate objects for those who have to look at an example and then try to replicate!

Colors are exceptionally bright on example to test extremes, pardon the glare!

Here is what I think is a good render of my terrain with flowers. I used the paint shader for density on all of my objects, adjusting the placement of a, b so they would not trip over each other. I have several surface shaders on the terrain with altitude constraints. Where I have traveled, picture perfect green only exists in manicured lawns. That is okay for home, but nature is usually a little different. I also used low poly trees in the distance as I was not doing an animation with closeups. The green vegetation around the flowers is the 3 leaf clover patch. Thanks! I know it needs dandelions, bees, and birds.....but I had to settle for three objects. Second image has a vignette applied. Works for me.
