Inspired by your pics I've started to really play with strata and it gives some interesting results.

It's fun isn't it? I tried to get some (sloping) rock/hillslide in my version, but the problem is to get the textures go with it, so the order of nodes is important. And a sloping slide is even harder without carving it outside TG. But it's good to tickle the brain
