Tucker Tornado Scene WIP

Another scene featuring a fave auto of the past, a 1948 Tucker Tornado. Semi-mental as that's my birth year. The tingarage is one I built in Imagine3D in a past 3D life. The frame is complete and to the 1906 building codes on the prairies here(18 " studs). The original was up the back lane from me and I managed to preserve it sort of, I used images I found at a site that sold pressed tin panels and it looks remarkably similar. I had clouds in the sky but @ 7 hours the sky was 3/4 done so I backed off and went with a clear day. Still a 6+ hour render. C&C welcome.

There's enough in the scene for a clear sky. You could always do just some cirrus. The pathway up the drive is too black I suppose, but otherwise; nice render.

Forgot to add the grey dirt and stone shader, and after I went to the trouble of making a Painted shader for it...gettin' old an't easy...sigh...next iteration...and I'll try a light cirrus...

The objects are well arranged in the image. The reflections on the car on the left are not very realistic and on the side of the house. Did you use a second light source?

In the process of setting up a light cirrus I checked the atmo samples and to my horrorthey were set at 128....I'd been using a clip from waaaay back from File Sharing I think and didn't think to check the atmo samples..new rule...AlwaysCheckEverything...ACE for short;
and in line with this mode I looked at thr Tucker and badly mapped or what so I fixed it in PoseRay and DeepEx, have also gone to Ray Traced reflections...

There's a light in the garage as I wanted the framing I spent so much time on long ago to show, and there are 2 in the house but only enough to light up the rooms a bit. I'll critique the reflections on the Tucker; to me they seem appropriate. Was the problem for you in the chrome or paint?
Are you seeing Back Light coming out of the garage maybe>

Hi Bobby! This is especially the reflections on the car that I find strong. This is only a personal impression but I think a light in a garage does not have the power to make such a reflection in daylight.

Thanks, I thought as much. There was a problem as I was using Default shader Specularity and Reflection, this test uses a reflective shader and the whole model has been remapped so I think every part looks a bit better...I just love the front chrome....

Still having a problem with implementing the vent mapping. I may use it(the map) as a bump and chrome it as I've seen that online.

That is a very pretty car. Love the garage, especially as Imagine was one of the first 3D packages I opened. 
This reminds me of another tutorial I'd like to make. If I had time. Perhaps once I've moved house. Maybe I can get a car like this!

I apparently quoted myself instead of choosing modify. Ha!
Anyway... car paint shaders! That was what was mean to go before, If I had time.

changed the size a bit and it still took 12 hours to render but I slept for most of it, or was at a Tuesday Jam so it wasn't too bad a wait.

Thanks for the comments. I've done that myself heh heh. Good idea the car paint shaders. From a quick scan of my clip files I noticed a couple there. If you can figure out a metalflake blend, candy apple preferred, I'd jump at that.
Imagine is what got me into 3D on my old Amiga1000 and 2000. Read the manual at a festival and went home and got baptized in 3D. My life has been much more interesting ever since. Writing out my tunes
(in DeluxeMusicConstructionSet the first polyphonic computer music writing program) for a tribute show is what actually got me cyber though....in 1997 when my young fans did a 3 hour show of some of my songs.
