When exporting a terrain via the Micro exporter and Texture Coords are turned on, it looks like the UVs are projected along the mesh on the X axis, where it would be more useful to have them projected down on the mesh in Y.

I don't really use the UVs on an exported terrain as I mainly use the mesh as a guide (and turning off UVs on export reduces the file size), but I just wondered if I've missed something significant when exporting the mesh.

I normally export the camera from TG to project with. I can't say I've ever used the mesh UVs, I'm not sure how useful they are when your 3D app sees the terrain as millions of disconnected triangles.

I haven't done it for a while, so maybe TG does this differently now.

I'm not certain what the plan is regarding UVs, but we certainly intend to improve the geo export process in the future.

Sounds good, I usually use projections anyway, just thought I might have missed something.

Hi,

I'm probably blind, but I can'T find the micro exporter, would anybody be so kind and explain to me where to find it? Following the Wiki Page about the exporter http://planetside.co.uk/wiki/index.php?title=Micro_Exporter, there is no checkbox to check under "Render > Sequence/Output", there is also no option to add one manually to the node network. At least under "Others",as mentioned as a category on the micro-exporter wiki-page.

Thank you in advance. (I use TG 3.4.0.0 Creative Edition with Animation)

Ok, I got it. You (Planetside) prohibit me using it, because I'm cheap. I can get that.. but a hint on the wiki page would be nice that this feature is only available in the professional version.

It doesn't look like it's in the Creative version - it's under Terrain Geometry Export
