Crater.

I like the mood.
Maybe just a little glow where the smoke comes from ?

Dune

How do you mean? The base of the column is glowing a bit (spotlight and some very light red 'flames' in the cloud itself). I didn't want to overdo it.
Also tried to get a low smoke layer masked by the lava remnants, but I could get the cloud to follow terrain.

Nice. Smoke looks pretty thick already. Was thinking dense smoke might be one of those cases where a small negative value for Param C might look right*.

*I just tried a few tests. The cloud shadows remain very blue when using neg values, regardless of chosen cloud color, so not very useful.

Because of possible more dust around the crater i just expect a little more light around the clouds.
But it is subjective and the image looks good as it is Ulco.

Ah, that's what you mean. Thanks. I'm not pursuing this, actually, I was thinking, it's a waste of time. Smoke columns like this can better be done in other apps, much easier. And the terrain was just something I wanted to test (and things grew from there, as usual); adding a smaller scale alpine fractal on top of that crater to get some erosion-like features.
Up to something else....

Something absolutely different today! Very very cool Ulco! I like it!

Interesting experiment. I agree about creating 'Pyroclastic' effects in other apps, but TG may surprise all of us at some point.  Cool image!
