We are about 50 Kilometers in altitude here where Weather Balloons reside.

I like the top of the clouds, though I think the cloud size in relation to the curvature of the earth seems a bit big?

It is quite possible. The cumulus clouds here are about 15,000 meters tall. The tallest clouds can reach 22,000 meters tall on record. Sometimes the height seems bit off when setting up much taller cumulus clouds. I will have to look into this again and rework the clouds.

A daytime version.

Note: The clouds look off. The upper areas are too bright with darker grey lower areas. An odd separation of color and brightness. No idea what is going on there.

V3 clouds, no doubt. I noticed (and reported) before that I get the feeling that the parameters and softness mainly influence the lower half of the cloud, sometimes with a very hard distinction. That may be the case here. There's a 'viewed from space' lighting model as well, did you try changing that?

DocCharly65

Looks already quite nice.

I have played a bit with the easy clouds in TG4 but I think I must wait some more TG4 versions (or more experience ;)  ) untill they are really usable in my animations.

I will test your suggestions out to see if that is what is causing this. Now that I look at the sunset version, it is quite noticeable. I am using the Easy cloud for everything here.

I went back to the default settings within the Easy cloud lighting and there is still the same results. I will continue to try other settings in the meantime.

Just because milk is white doesn't mean that clouds are made of milk.

AP

I will just set this aside for the time being. No worries.

Using the latest Easy cloud model. The look of the clouds appear to be improved. I am still trying to work out the lack of detail, over exposed look of the Cumulus, needing to widen the gaps and more tight coverage of the Altostratus.

We did address one issue that was identified with Easy Clouds on a large scale. But it should be noted that the new v3 clouds - including Easy Clouds - are not yet ideal for global views. This is because the effect must operate only on Localized clouds. We are working on possible approaches to making it work on a global basis, but we're not there yet...

Thank you for addressing this further.
