at the river mouth

First time that my canyon with all models worked in TG4 (3.09.07).
The rocks are modified a little bit and for the helicopters sight in the back light I added a bit interior (rudimentary seats - the pilot was there already)
And the rubberduck will definitively have a permanent and not unimportant role in the final 2020 movie ;) Before it was just a gag in my short teasers.
In this picture I gave it extreme translucency and a bit texture-based luminosity to give it a little emphasize.
Seems the shuttle escaped... can't tell more now ;)

If I'd have more time I'd check where all my cumulus easy clouds are gone... I am sure there were more in the preview. It could be that I chose a frame where they have gone because of animating them...
But after 25 hrs rendertime (in 20 more hrs the right eye frame for 3D will be finished) I didn't want to throw it away.

If I like the finished 3D-version, I'll perhaps add some drift wood before starting all the animation experiments.

Thanks  :)

This part of my animation project was interupted with some tests: Ulco was so nice to give me the chance playing with his ocean waves.
I had some - let's say "intersting" results. But I will have to keep this daughter project for later because of some reasons:

What Ulco is doing with TG is just a higher league far from mine... I could change some of his settings but I only understand 1/1000 of what I am doing   ::)
For the logical proceeding in my film I decided to use the (already existing as tgd) border of my river canyon... the river mouth.
But anyway to give some thankful credits to Ulco you can see my experiments with a beach I will work on some day in the future:

First I thought about reactivating my old Easter Island project but I was not happy with it:

Then I thought about a big river delta:

Nice stills so far but the animation looked not as good. The waves were predestinated for "ocean" behavior but of course waves follow a bit different rules on beaches. Just some experiments here: https://vimeo.com/177674683

I hope to have time some day to follow this further more. The last seconds of the animation come already a bit close to what I want  :)

Thanks, Nils. The latter is the best, IMO.

I thought the same Ulco. When the time is ripe I will go on work on the last one.

Perhaps there is another idea with keeping the original size of your rock. I'll see - later - Too many things simultaneously lead to chaos  ;)

Here comes the 3D Version (red-blue anaglyphic as promised)

I could have made it "deeper" but thats not good for humans eyes and quite an unnatural view.
