Just fooling about with clouds and liked how this one turned out.

Work has no connection to the outside world for security so I am limited to small render size and quality.

The colors and erosion look very natural. The clouds seem reminiscent of fog breaking off in the latter morning hours. This deserves to be continued more. Perhaps some vegetation to rightly fit this area and a wee bit of color variation to the grey rock.

Fun aren't these new clouds...
something borrowed,
something Blue.

It's going to be a warm day. 8)

I like this! Great erosion effects and nice clouds.

Grassynoel

Here is the same landscape with a variation on the shaders. Tried to match the feel of some Chinese mountains I have reference of.

Dune

The terrain file is very nice, good masking as well. Is it a WM file? One thing that I do not like is the clumpiness on the snow layer. I can imagine some clumps of snow rolling downhill, but the great mass of snow I would keep relatively smooth.

Grassynoel

Yes it's WM. Love that program.
Interestingly the scene I am kind of matching is littered with stones. Perhaps more in runs and valleys so I guess I can improve it there.
Here is the reference...

Dune

Okay, I see. Well, you got very near that reference. If you can mask it such that the stones are more in gullies, it would be perfect. Perhaps the WM masks can be used with a color adjust?

Grassynoel

Here are the stones turned off which is actually a bit nicer :)

Dune

Definitely! You also have some small patchy snow, probably with a slope restraint. What if you increase fuzziness? They're quite harsh little white spots.
