Putting the 'alien' trees in a different setting than the Kepler thing.... and needing an 'alien' beastie, I just made one in Zbrush. Not an overwhelming sculpt, but it suits my need, for now.

luvsmuzik

beady eyed little critter ...."keep off the grass" type of amphibian

As usual great stuff!

Lady of the Lake

Like the first image the best.......those trees are amazing.

Looks like it could be an ancestor of our turtles. Like the light and sky of the first. In that one I have the feeling I know exactly how shallow that water is. Wading across should be no problem.. except for what might be just under the surface.

 ;D Cute little mudhopper.
The rudimentary,prehistoric look fits nicely.

Dune

Mudhopper indeed. I made a new one yesterday. Hindlegs not yet very developed. Put it in the other terrain file, where I added some beach areas to accomodate this handsome fellow. This little excercise also made me think about surf, beach and waves again, but I will post another thread about that.

Btw. little post on the foam edge, which wasn't perfect at all.

"Alien Creek" needs to be renamed in "Prehistoric Creek" but anyway great render!  :)

Dune

It's life on Kepler 452b as it was 20 million years ago  ;) (the critter and trees are not scientifically perfect AT ALL)

bobbystahr

great development...love the critter in  AlienTerrain_29-08-16-v1.jpg, especially the translucent dorsal(?)ridge
something borrowed,
something Blue.

Great images - very  moody and convincing.

Great Image. (really like the Pleistocene pollywog) .
Maybe some damp sand at the water/beach boundary?

Yes, I forgot the wet sand at the beach. Well, that's something for next time. I wanted the dorsal fin to be really transparent (glass shader+ some color mix), but messed up a bit making the fin (I should have made it a loose part), so it's kind of ugly with a water/glass shader. Translucency also does some good.
