A little adjustment if you want: At the front of the meteor in flight direction perhaps you need another cloud layer with no strech or warp effect just covering the front of the rock a bit and move the streched clouds a bit more into the middle of the rock.

I just spent the last 3 days farting around with the cloud layers to try to improve it................time wasted? But I did find out the number of layers that can be at the same location without making your machine slow to a crawl. That number is 3................you add a fourth and plan on taking a nap for an update in the viewport................I ramble.
