The sense of scale is very good. Is the small figure (or whatever that little black thing is next to the tree) post work? Because it seems oddly sharp and less affected by atmosphere than I would expect.

Very beautiful POV!

Only what Oshyan mentioned about that small black object would be interesting now to know :)

echo Oshyan, and it's good to see The Noble One reappearing....I've always thought of that as the first Hero Tree. Great image  man...

human figure: ARTEC GROUP

That is what he says in his first post.
At least, I cannot find another human figure anywhere else in there.

Nice effects and suggestion of a story.

Thanks fleetwood and all for comments.

KlausK you have a good vision and you read well.
Yes the post-prod renders the character and the tree unnatural.
Perhaps the gap between a realistic and fantasy picture is not clear enough here for the first POV.
I remade another POV with some correction for the tree and the character (scale and location). I tried to make the tree stand out more by this framing and adding color. The character is more indented in a less enlightened area.
As in the title, it is a fantasy picture and I know fantasy sometimes that does not mean anything and can also be supposed a lot of things.

I , for one, thought that was the point of the scale on the tree and figure. Both views are awesome, but I really love the portrait style render. That sky is just amazing, as well as the terrain!

bobbystahr

Like em both but prefer the portrait render, been doing a few of those myself lateluy

I prefer the landscape view, which is very nice, and the subtle way the tree is drawing your attention to this lonely guy. I also love the low clouds hanging against the mountains. Perhaps a tiny bit of very small pf masked strata (or a few strata shaders) would break up the vertical displacemenst of the rock into some interesting patterns, just an idea.
