Neanderthals again. The moonlit version is postworked in PS (color to B&W and sliding some colors), so the grain is enhanced.

No offence, but I'm afraid the first render looks more like an encounter of the third kind rather than a full moon.
The light from behind those trees looks sort of aggressive.
I like the second picture though - good composition, PoV, comes together nicely.

Yes, that might be something to consider. I also thought about broken off branches under the trees and more clutter. It's very clean... too clean. I might get back to this.

Oh cool! While the lighting may be strong in the first one, I like it. I've seen snowy night lit up similar to this in the fog. So much more ambient light.

I like them both, although I agree, that the first one may look a bit too extreme. I really love the snow in the second image.
