Yeah, his glacier is pretty awesome.  I would say that Luc is the foremost Terragen user right now, and has been for a long time.

I was blown away by that Glacier render. I think he used that Glacier Macro made for World Machine and of course added the additional fine shader details over the glacier for that nice realism.

I always keep up to date with his images. I just wish Terragen 2's premier user would contribute more, I think he's only ever made a couple of posts.

Will

As always his stuff is just amazing.

I second that for >100%, he can't be as generous as everyone, because of artist's motivations if you know what I mean, ok...but he could be more generous in sharing tips/tricks or answering other people's questions.
But let's not talk about that too much, it's another discussion.

Luc's images are truly amazing and he's one of my biggest inspirators because he always goes for realism which I think is the main purpose of TG2.

Can't wait to do what he's doing with the next version.   ;D
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

Yeah, I can't even wait for his next image most of the times, so not even to think about the next version ;)
I wonder how much time it costs for him to set up and render such quality images.

HE HAS SPOKEN!

anywho thanks for the reply, interesting I've always liked simplicity.

thanx luc for explaining....I am sure it will help...
"His blood-terragen level is 99.99%...he is definitely drunk on Terragen!"

Making nice pictures is something you sure do :p keep on going :)
Cool you've showed us a little bit how you did it. Tastes like more ;) lol
Anyhow, I'm surprised to see how 'simple' the scene is set up. Another prove that simple can be best.
The trickiest thing was probably to make a convincing ice shader.
Looking forward to see your next one. And if I may 'vote', a nice stratified canyon scene, can't get enough of them :)

Amazing glaciers indeed   I started to shiver
just viewing the pics...LOL...thanks also for sharing bits of your inspired thinking...it takes
a master to create greatness from simplicity...well done luc.. ...

Another awesome cumulus cloud from Luc (18/03/2008). Maybe he will post it here, but for now go visit his hompage to se it.
I'll guess he has a version with support for muti-cores, cause that thing must have taken a very long time to render.

How do you do this Luc? Share your secret's with us ::)
