How do I Fix This?

I can't seem to be able to not cast sunlight on the background sphere. :-\

I've tried a few things like unchecking a few boxes on the sphere like Cast Shadows & Visible rays etc. but nothing has helped.
I thought maybe if I made the background sphere larger that could help but then possibly make the stars too small.
So I thought before I wrestled with that idea further I would ask our knowledgeable Community first.

Thanks in advance

I don't think it really catches any sunlight, isn't it glow in atmosphere? What happens if you turn atmo off?

If I were in this position I'd start debugging by removing any textures from the sphere, and setting everything to black (base color, specular, roughness, etc), and then re-introduce the texture to see what exactly is catching the sunlight?

Hannes

You could check if there's some reflection active in your shader.

Thanks guys. I posted this at an inconvenient day and hour for most so with no direct reply I just cracked on and figured it out eventually.
I wish I could say that with all the fiddling I learned some other things but I didn't. I did learn that Hannes & it'sdavidblackard are on to it.

I didn't have any reflections or anything in the shader. Just a default with an image map plugged in. However, the fresnel specularity in the default is what was causing the sun to light up the sphere. Thanks again guys. While I did this one on my own I know you guys are always there to lend a hand and support so thanks for that.
