Finally got the Xfrog agriculture pack, so here's a wheat field  :)

I can't see much, but nice! ;D

Would the sky really be blurred in a shot like that? You'd think the far plane for the sky would be way outside bounds on a usual DOF shot with a photo

Here's the photo I was using for reference.  The sky's pretty blurry, though I may have overdone it in mine.  I find I always have a hard time getting DOF exactly how I want it, especially since things take so long to render with it turned on.

Good reproduction!
If you have wheat that is in focus, and wheat that is out of focus, the sky has to be out of focus, because there is only one focus level.
With a short focal length and/or small aperture you could get more focal depth, but to get the sky in focus, the mid distance would also have to be.
So if your TG sky is slightly more blurry than the reference, your virtual camera just had a bigger aperture or focal length. Still plausible.
And nice picture.

Yeah I was actually thinking of terms from game engines I tinkered with and come to think of that, that was likely just what was clipable to the camera (LODs probably didn't exist to the camera for depth)

It does look pretty spot on, for a wheat field. I don't have my true color monitor too, and this old samung HD TV/Monitor combo is kinda strangely dark. Maybe the backlight is failing.

Thought these were photos taken with a good camera and lens, gorgeous depth of field effect ! Superb !
