I found these plants for Blender. They are .fbx files, so i load them into blender and save them out as .obj files.
The maps come with them. They are 2k, 4k, 8k and 16k.

They look good. Thanks for the link.

You are welcome.

Here is another one with wood. Not to bad so far, i need to roughin it up more and displacement or something.

Dune

I don't think you should, it looks good to me. The horizon is a bit dull, so you could do something about that. Leave it out or add something.

question
the plants come with 16K files, around 25MB .png
i converted them to 16K jpg, around 5MB

have i lost anything?

Dune

You can easily test that by making two (or three) versions, each with lower MB. I never use more than 8-bit, usually tifs with an alpha channel for opacity around 2000px wide or high (stems/barks are often longitudinal, and may be only 500px wide). I like tifs because jpg's are less predictable when I lower opacity to 0.6 or so for more light in canopies. Unless you need plants for really close-up shots (and then you also need perfect plants), that's enough (for me).

Very nice plants indeed.
In the last time, much more plants in blender format are available for free.
I converted trees, plants or grasses into TGO's and some are very good!

Trunks are very nice. You never have enough plants and stuff.
