wow, looking great, could be a scene from 'dune', the book, or some sahara shot. in my opinion the palms don't fit in there, but else very good.
perfection is not when there's nothing more to add, it's reached when nothing more can be left out

The ripples are made procedurally using a function set up from David Burnetts "Function only landscape" tutorial. I had to make the ripples bigger to make them look less constant and this is about as good as it would get without making the ripples too big.
And no, there are grains in the sand. I thought about it; I decided that a smooth look was more in line with what I was looking for.
