For what it's worth I say stick with the mountains that reach almost into space; I always liked that idea :D

I agree about the distant clouds  :( It will up your render times but how about adding a second layer to give variation?
Smoke me a kipper I'll be back for breakfast.

Ok, I've decide to put the clouds off until I'm happy with the mountains. I go back and forth between liking the mountains and thinking that they could use more detail. I'm anybody had any insight or sugestion on how to improbe the mountains it would be very appreciated.

if I were you I would get rid of the greens...and bring in some red-brownish color...and if you have all sorts of displacements applied to it then tone it down a little...make some smooth, gradual color gradient....

oh and I love the secondary planet!...

As always, scenes change. I've scrapped the previous terrain which i think is too mountainous infavor of one with more wide open spaces. I really like how the two mountains dominate the landscape while being so close to the lake. I'll have to work on the lake altitude a bit to get ride of the circular edge but thats no big deal, please tell me what ya think as the scene progresses.

The only comment I could possibly give would conflict with the forum's word censor mandate. I'll just say that it rhymes with Moley Duck! :o
