Hi Folks,

it's been a long time since i rendered something with tg2, due to heavy personal life things i had to handle.

Glad i'm finally back, hope someone sees that also the way i do :)

So here my 3 latest attempts.

Of course for the sky i used photos, just can't handle the clouds very well, and also of course all other things you see except the sky pure tg2.

Here we go:

Light and Shadow:

I'm Alive:

And the one i'm very proud of ...

Rebirth:

Thanks in advance for any kind of critics,

see you all soon.

Chris

I like them all. That last one is fantastic. How much of it is TG 2?

Revenant

thanks,

for the last one: except the sky is all made in tg2

Great mix of image mapping and standard surfaces, lots of details on the terrain. Hopefully we'll see more of these. :)

All seem a bit overly "sharp" on my display here (laptop LCD at the moment), but the texturing and other groundwork are otherwise outstanding. It's unfortunate you don't have as good a feel for the atmospherics in TG2 itself, but hopefully that will come in time. I think both of the post-worked skies could be done fairly well in TG2 with the right setup, although admittedly it's more difficult to achieve than finding a decent cloud pic to edit in. ;)

Great images, I really like the landforms in the second one. I don't have a problem in using photo's as backdrops, were constantly being told how TG2 is made to work with other programs and this is just another example of it successfully doing just that. As artists were interested in the final result and the journey to get there; not so much in the brush used in the process.

I like how sharp they look.  As though we're looking through a nice Nikon lens.

How did you do those clouds?  Very nice.

By the way, check out File Sharing for a beginning library of cloud TGCs.
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

Great work with the image map shaders ! I like the third image !

good to see you back on form Rev!...look forward to the next installment!

They all have their good points but I think I like No three the best.

Don't give up on the procedural clouds, there is plenty of help and advice on them.
Smoke me a kipper I'll be back for breakfast.
