Hmm... anyone know why this light source I added is so grainy looking?  There are no samples for me to add so I'm not sure what else to do with it to make it smoother.  The detail was around .7 or .8.

Atmo samples would be my guess but you said it's not that. Don't know what else to tell you but I think it's a really cool Creation! Looks like an underwater scene and maybe it's Plankton in the water. Whale feeding ground!

Atmosphere samples would also be my guess. What do you mean by "there are no samples for me to add"?

Very cool image btw. I agree with Buzzzz, it's got a nice "underwater" feel to it. Reminded me of The Abyss

I meant there is no samples setting under the Light source object itself.  I'm going to try raising atmospheric samples now though to see if that helps.

Correct, the light will not have a sample setting. Lights don't have "corona" without the atmosphere though, as this is an atmospheric effect. So that's where grain would be produced due to the limited sampling of the atmosphere. I expect raising atmosphere samples will help. You'll probably need at least 64 samples unfortunately, it not more.
