Sorry, but I just hàd to do this...

This is my first ever TG2 transparent water render!
Took about 40 minutes on 2 cores.

Maybe nice to have this thread to post all the first transparency renders in, just for fun.
Howgh!

Marcos Silveira

I think mine is better ;D

Mr_Lamppost

Smoke me a kipper I'll be back for breakfast.

SilverCity

Both images look great! What kind of render times do you get if you disable transparency?

Without transparency it took only 15 minutes...
So it's very renderintesive. It could increase rendertimes x3
Howgh!

SilverCity

Thanks, Mohawk20. Good info to know. I guess the long render times are unavoidable.

Well, if you see the difference in quality and realism, it's a small price to pay.

Compare these two renders: first has transparency disabled, second has transparency enabled (same as above)...

SilverCity

Yep. Transparency makes a huge difference in rendering realistic scenes. Thanks for those images.

Okay, here's my first transparency render.  Woo hoo!And this rendered in just over 30 minutes for me.  My dual cores are working great so render times have definitely improved.  ;D
