latest "marine" pic. I know you'll say too much foreground, but hey, when you've been waiting for hours in the shallows to get just the shot you want, It'll have to do. ;D
C&C welcome.

I was only thinking when I saw the Ray version that he will do sharks next, nearly right.   ;D

I suppose unlike the previous two in the series this one is not quite up to their standard because of the rock shadows on the water surface.  Not right, too sharp? All I know is that it doesn't standup to the quality of the rest of the scene.  Cropped off I feel is less distracting.

Kevin F

Yeh, I have one cropped off at the same place! so I agree. I'll tweak all of these sometime to get the best out of them.
Thanks for the comments RS.

Kevin, you're really picking up the subtle points of this new Alpha.  Good work.
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

Seth

the cropped version is really cool !

I think you just need more octaves in your water displacement shader (more roughness if you're just using the default water shader).

Would that get rid of those really naff shadow break ups?

Oshyan

Yes, and I don't think they're actually shadows, they're refraction of the *in shadow* underwater shape of the rock. But not shadows on the water itself.
