Can anyone tell me why it's important for this prize to go to someone under 50?

I guess 50+ artists were not creative enough for this particular team of judges...

Or they just like the 'jounger' style better.



To be honest, I have no idea...  ???

A There was no age limit at first, but in 1991 it was decided to restrict the Prize to artists under 50, so that younger artists just setting out weren't pitted against artists at the height of their careers."

Nice.  Height of their careers...sounds nice.  Hmmm.
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?
