Hello!
I'm making an RPG game with a big territory to explore. Can I use this program somehow to create lands in the game?

You can create ter files and export them with terragen 0.9 but I don't think it's been implemented in TG 2 yet.
Figured out how to do clicky signatures

Like PG said, the only way you'd be able to do that is to create a heightfield in Terragen 0.9 and have your program able to interpret heightfield data.  All Terragen does is render a picture, it does not create world data (such as a way to use the settings in TG2 to walk around in a 3D world - that would require a whole new engine to extract data and use it to create a world).

You can, however, generate a skybox from Terragen and use that as backgrounds if your program allows it.

~The CA3D engine allows you to use .ter files directly but I think it's the only one.

Yeah, but the .ter file is just the terrain heightfield.  It contains no other data (it's actually just a black and white image showing relative heights and most likely some header information (size, etc...)).

You can export .ter terrain files in TG2 by simpling right-clicking a heightfield node and choosing Save As. Be sure to save with the .ter extension.

TG2 is not really particularly suited to creating game environments, but it can be very useful for backgrounds, skyboxes, and for cinematic sequences.

You'd be better off using a different program with a little more control and complexity when it comes to heightfields. I don't really have any examples of these programs - maybe GeoControl?

Terragen has an amazing renderer and volumetrics. But it's not the best if all you need is a heightfield.

Thanks for the answers!
I have a modelling program named Blender.Hopefully,it can generate terrain with heightmaps.I'll try Geocontrol as well.
Once again,thanks for the answers!
