Recently there have been a few attempts at putting foam on sea water so I thought it was time I had a go.  I have had an idea lurking in the back of my head for a while now for using functions to create ocean waves so combined the two.

There are quite a few render errors just in front of the large wave.

Almost looks like that snow-displacement trick. Very cool! The foam displacement might be a little sharp though...

I agree that the foam looks a little too sharp, but your waves are looking promising.

The foam displacement is a bit of a let down, it looked alright in the low quality tests. Yes I know crop renders.  :-[ ;D

Although I see I am not the only one having problems with sharp edges.  ;D ;D ;D

So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

Waves are a good start but the foam is to high in elevation which makes it look like chalky stone. Should be softer to. This had a lot of potential though.   ;D
