Used terragen several years ago and heard about terragen 2 last year, but didn't have time to look into this. Anyway, I managed to create one scene and rendered it today and you can see the result below.

The contrast on cloudspace is too strong I noticed and some part of landscape are all under shadow, might adjust the sunlight angel and cloud density and render another one tomorrow.

Feedbacks and tips are welcome. ;)

Mountains need a little texturing.

The world is round... so you have to use spherical projection.

Hello, Good evening and welcome.   ;D

A brilliant start; those rays are amazing.  I like the dark clouds and shadows, all add to the mood of the image.
Smoke me a kipper I'll be back for breakfast.

Thanks for replies and warm welcomes. ;)

I tried different setting for the cloud and I think it looks better. (except the direction where the sunlight directly comes in) I'm currently working on terrain and shaders, any suggestions on this?

Good texturing lessons - http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=2287.0

Running through Oshyan's beginners tutorial is great for basic understanding and just go from there.  Lots of tutorials are in this forum and loads of TGDs and TGCs to play with.
