These are some nice lines to put up on the planetside homepage though:

"The release date of this software is "When it's done".  Anything else, and we mean anything else is someone's speculation.  There is no date.  We don't know any date.  If you have a friend who claims they have "inside info", or there's some news site, or some computer store at the mall who claims they know - they do not.  They are making it up.  There is no date.  Period.

And yes, we know the program has taken a long time.  There's no possible joke you could make about the program's development time that we haven't already heard.  :)"

o_b, you're on the inside more than most of us, so do you think we're in danger of TG1.999999 becoming the all-time vaporware of terrain creation programs?
I doubt it.  Matt and Jo have been developing TG2 for over four years now - longer, if you count Matt's previous work at DD.  I see no reason for them to stop now.  That, and the fact that they announced that it was feature complete for the registered members and that they are just cleaning up some bugs makes me pretty confident that TG 2.0 will see the light of day.

too bad that RDR is just looking like an ass-licking contest... only good crits like "oooooh" "awsoooome", "amaaaziiiing" and "!!!!!"
i even get warned by moderator for a comment that the guy didn't like (not even a critic)...
anyway, thanks for the link ^^
HA!! i know what you mean i know its all nice and that but i would rather have cc than ass licking
with cc you improve your skills i always try and do cc to help improve people's renders like with your latest render seth i criticized about the colour of the red plants not being realistic enough and not fitting in with your scene all that well you changed it and look at it now.... A MASTER PIECE!!!

I agree with Lightning (are we off-topic enough by now?) - a safe enviroment in which to post artwork is better than kissing up, yet there need to be real criticisms.  I was told by someone on Rendo that such critiques were unusual, since the usual comments were in the line of, "Amazing!" or "Delightful!" or "Hugs and kisses!"
