I know there are purists that won't care for what I do but guess what? I don't care, I'm having fun again with TG not having to wait days for clouds to render when I can take a sky photo I shot and layer it in with Photoshop. Then add a foreground of another layer with a  photo I shot in Monument Valley, Utah.

This first screen grab is what I rendered in TG2TP5. Second is with the layered in sky and MV foreground layer.

Using Photoshop and Terragen TOGETHER? ;D Now that's a great idea, love that! 8)
Have a look at http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=4464.0 ;)

You know what? I had a second look on it and - surprise - it works really well, both thumbs up! Wouldn't even notice what you did if you hadn't said it, nice work :)

This is one of the reasons I put buzzzzz on my "to watch" list.  He put together some amazing images this way.  Glad to see him back in the game.

Merging photos with renders is a challenge in its own right, having to match the lighting, colours and overall ambience. Each to their own, I say. When I worked in games one of the musicians taught himself how to score his music and write it down. He'd create the music synthetically (big orchestra pieces), but hire a string quartet and record them as well, and mix it in. Made a world of difference to the music, and I see no difference here.

Anyway, rambling over. Looks good.

The Galileo Fallacy, 'Argumentum ad Galileus':
"They laughed at Galileo. They're laughing at me. Therefore I am the next Galileo."

Nope. Galileo was right for the simpler reason that he was right.

nice one, had to look a few times to see what u did and that the second one wasn't entirely a photo. Keep it up!!

Superbly well integrated! I'd like to see a bit more of the foreground done in TG, and of course the clouds ideally in TG as well, but I know that's not as easy (or perhaps possible) as we'd all like it to be yet. ;D

The end result is all the better for using photographed clouds and foreground, so why not? :)

Just because milk is white doesn't mean that clouds are made of milk.

Hi, I just looked at your marvelous result in amazement once again and wondered, what the complete photograph looked like. Would you mind to post it for comparison?
Best regards,
