Yes of course, you can use the blendshader of the strata and outcrops shader for that purpose.
For example:
Create a powerfractal with feature size 10, lead-in size 100 and small scale 1m.
Set contrast and roughness to about 2 and, important, set the offset slightly negative, like -0,25 and plug this shader into the blendshader of the strata and outcrops shader. Of course don't forget to enable the blendshader in the node.
The negative offset creates black areas in the fractal which will determine where the strata and outcrops will NOT appear.
The more you decrease this value, the less strata and outcrops will be visible.
The result is that you''ll see patches of about 10m with or without strata, all depends on your powerfractal-settings.
