Rock Structure and Stone Structure

Hi folks,

i´m still looking for a method to create real good stone structures.
Cause when i create some fake stones i always have a flatten structure.
The same with the mountain they look to flat and without roughness and so on.

What i´ve to do ?

In both cases you will want to add additional displacement, most likely with a Power Fractal. You will have to experiment to find the best values, but the most important thing to keep in mind is probably the relative scales involved. For rocks, which are themselves only a meter or so across at most, you will need small-scale displacements, so make sure your Feature Size is less than 1m, and your Displacement Amplitude even smaller (perhaps .1-3m). Note that this will be different of course if you have made large Fake Stones, but in general you will still use comparatively small values. For mountains, on the other hand, you will need fairly large values, so again think about the scale of what you are influencing (mountains of 100's or even 1000's of meters in height) and adjust scale accordingly, depending on how large you want the changes to be.
