a work in progress...after some time tinkering about, I got this....Geocontrol terrain base with extra power fractals etc...also thanks to DandelO for the fake stones clip file, which I then modified a little!

It's a nice beginning.  Are you going to make it have a lot of foliage or just be the bare minimum?  Adding any objects that aren't foliage?

Nice 'n chunky and earthy. How about cutting a path into the rock/cliff, bottom-centre to top-right where that small cutting is? Are you OK with those small white splotches?

@John, the white splotches are from the projected image map...I have faded this through fractal break up and coverage, possibly not enough, I will add more image map(s) and power fractals to make these less apparent...
