How do i import files from Blender to view in TG2? I import them as OBJ files but it just comes up as:

"OBJReader: could not open mtllib. Attempted" -the file address-"

How to i get blender objects into TG2?

Hi,

You have to deactivate the 'Materials'-Button (write a separate MTL file with OBJ) while exporting.

Cool, thanks, that works but now its just a black silhouette :( how do it get it with its materials and colour? :/

You could download the free software PoseRay. You load your object into that program, with the mtl file, and then export to obj again, with a new poseray generated mtl. Those obj's seem to be a little bit different in coding or something, but in any case, those are the obj formats Terragen can read without problem.
Howgh!

I have imported objects from Blender, with some issues. The best way I have found is to export the object as a wavefront object. Use image maps for the textures. The Lightwave object exporter works, but not as well.
To use the objects in T2, the specific import for that objects format has to be used. A side note: the wavefront type seems to be the same as XFrogs objects.

Forget Tuesday; It's just Monday spelled with a T

Wavefront objects are what we use PoseRay to convert for use in TG2 - OBJ format.

The address that Blender puts for the address for the materials file seems to not work with Terragen. I opened up the .obj and changed the line with the filepath. Instead of having a full path, I just put the name of the mtl file since it was in the same folder. The problem I'm having now is that there are more textures per object than Terragen can handle with the Multishader.

16 textures is the limit in TG2.  Old news, really.  Sorry you're finding this out the hard way.

16 material limit aside; I haven't had any problems with OBJs exported from Blender.  I almost always have to reattach referenced image maps but I have a tendency to move files around so break the links stored in the MTL file.
Smoke me a kipper I'll be back for breakfast.
