Strange indeed! And also rather intriguing. Care to share a screenshot of the node network? (Or better still, a .tgc)?

That is cool.  Now, mix it up with some color.
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

I'll post a tgc when I get home from work today.

That's actually one where I don't complain about render size ;D

I left my machine on overnight to render it, and it only took like a hour, so I figure I could render it even larger than that. :)

Has TG2 gotten faster with the beta or do you have a real powerhorse at home? ;D I remember rendering 30+h for an image ;)

Thanks v. much for the .tgc. (And incidentally, I rather like the subdued colours of the original image  :))

my system specs:
asusP5K-E mobo/Intel Q6600 2.4ghz/4gb g skill ddr2 ram/nvidia 8800gt 512mb/regular win XP 32bit
(soon to be win XP Pro x64)
it seems like tg2 may have gotten slightly faster.
I have always felt that render times depended on the content of the .tgd, and at times camera placement as well.
for instance, the quick renders(320x240px) I did for my mirkwood renders would take 10min to 30min sometimes.
