That worked fine cyphyr but as you said the rectangles in the middle don't like the high angle. Figured that would happen.
So I guess the model gets split.

As for the exhaust bell:
Reflection: 1
Refle. Tint: 1
Trans. 0
Index of Refraction 6
Blinn-Beckmann
Highlight intensity .25
Sec Roughness: .0427
And for the dang slowest setting Raytraced Reflections .0165312
As for the reflection being at 1, if you set this down to zero or near zero, does that give it the polished aluminum look?
turning off ray tr... and setting it for the aluminum look may be better off, what do you think?

Thanks Mohawk, not happy with those lower tanks, but it's my first try at building uv mapped textures from scratch. Not easy

Would have liked to develope the crater rims more, but no one seems to know how to deform the walls...
