Hey guyz,

do you use twitter? I mean really like to use it, not just have an account. I was wondering if it would be worthwhile to make a tweed on stuff that happens at NWDA. We have a lot of things going on, and also continously work on publications and articles, so there would be enough fodder.
Well the best way to find out if its worthwhile is to ask if you use that platform in the first place :-)

Thanks,
Frank

Yes.

Ha ha. No.

I have one but I have 2 followers(both I know in person) And I've logged into it once I think. If you made one, I'd be sure to 'follow' your page, though.

My theory on twitter:

Who the hell cares about your life that much that they need constant random updates in 160 chars throughout the day.

My sister was talking to me on aim a few days ago and she said she finally submitted to peer pressure of her friends and signed up for twitter.... i checked her few posts she did.... one saying she had finally joined, the other was informing us what dressing she wanted on her salad.

And i refuse to sign up for twitter.  Facebook is ok cause its nice to get connections to old friends i've lost contact with, but... thats all i use it for.

As for NWDA, RSS feeds will probably be more then enough for this crowd, and I see you have them (and multiple ones, good :P)

So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

ok, thanks. I will assume it's a non suitable communication channel for people on the forums.

Cheers,

Frank, I'll always check this forum and your site is bookmarked.  Besides, I want most of the stuff you have mentioned will be on your site.  I'll find a way to get it.   ;D

Hi Frank,

I personally find Twitter very useless, but I am sure there are other opinions ;-)

What could be interesting though is offering an RSS Feed - and this you already do. Probably a note somewhere, telling that people can get information about updates via RSS would be enough

Right, I can't make much sense out of twitter either, but you never know, maybe it's just me. But apparently not.

Here are the RSS feeds from NWDA. It's useful to subscribe to them through a dynamic bookmark, if you use firefox. Just click on the link and firefox will let you choose to create a dynamic bookmark. I have my dynamoc booksmarks in the quick link bar, so I can review what's new easily anytime.
I have no idea how IE goes about RSS feeds...
