a quick test render using Walli's new great freebies(the pine models) and Klas's classy grass, thanks to both!
this rendered in 2 hrs with medium high settings.

Looking quite nice so far. Those models are indeed great :) The grass is good as well, though a bit too yellow to my taste. But in hot dry summers this could be possible. I think the curvy trees don't really fit the scene very well.
What are medium high settings? ;D 2 hours seems pretty quick :)

Thanks Martin....render quality: 0.7, AA 4 (+cubic b spline), GI 2,4,Blur 8....all models set to 'high quality'....I will possibly tinker some more with this tgd, see what happens!

Great work.  Nice quality.  In my opinion, if the trees were dispersed in small groups randomly (Paint Shader) here and there, it would look fantastic.
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

I think the lighting and mood are really great - maybe it requires a little sharpening (at least on my screen) :)

I love the rocks and grass, I also like the trees although I feel the trees dont work to well with the grass etc. I think the bark on the trees contrasts to much with the light grass, still great scene. :)

Thanks everyone...like Isaid `i will tinker around with this scene and see what happens,

I used the cubic b spline(soft) pixel filter, with no sharpening in pw, only colour and tonal tweaks from exr file...normally I add a small amount of usm or use high pass method, this time I didn't...I may try with different pixel filter or pw next render....
Cheers
