Here's another part of my Cloud Scene WIP. What I'll eventually do is string them together in an animation. This took just 8 hours to render after I disabled ray traced shadows in the render node. It was going for 19 hours before and was only half way through rendering the actual image after taking 11 hours to render the GI dots.
I'm not sure what to do with the top right, might add some spacey things being this high up. You'd be able to see constelations from this height, right?

Hey Michael,

Fantastic looking clouds! Love those soft edges and you've sorted out the lighting pretty well!

I think it is a common 'mistake' to fill in every empty space of atmosphere with planets/moons/constellations.
It might look nice sometimes, but most of the times it makes the image 'too busy' and it destroys the composition or withdraws you from the area of interest which is in this case definitely the clouds themselves. I also doubt if you can see constellations with this type of bright daylighting, but that's just another thing.

Very nice clouds.  If there was an airplane window frame in the foreground, I'd believe this was a photo.

Those clouds are very nice.  With that much light around I wouldn't expect to be able to see stars.
