After three years, I am finally able to play again with TG2. I've lost almost all my knowledge, but I got a new computer (Core 2 Quad Q9550 @2.83Ghz, 4GB DDR3) AND my friends gave me a brand new screen (22" wide, 16:9), I thought I needed a new wallpaper.
My birthday party was still going, so I didn't spent much time on it (just enhanced a quick test I did, maxed all settings and hit render), but here it is \o/

(and for the title: my new computer, comparing to my previous one, seems almost divine :P)

Seth

good job on the light.
ça fait plaisir de te voir sur TG2 ! :)

Nice looking clouds but it needs some variation in the cloud density. Also a few more layers wouldn't hurt. Good work!

MacGyver

Nice image. You really got me with the title ;D Let's say he is just outside on the far right side :P

Nice clouds.  Like the lighting, too.
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

Comme le dit Seth ça fait plaisir de te voir sur TG2 !

How long was this "test"??
???

Rhalph

Thanks everyone !

ro-nin: I think it took me about 1 hour, plus another hour to tweak it before render. It's basically default clouds, but larger and with more height and density. Plus a quick power fractal and small tweaks in atmosphere and sun, and voilà :)

Just looking at your TG2 Gallery, I really love Losse - how did you do the snow? It looks very realistic.

Rhalph

Thank you!
It was with an old version of Terragen 2, more than three years ago, I think it was still in alpha test at this time.
I used Intersect underlying but I think it works differently now...

I'll see if I can use the same settings with the current version, and if it still produces usable snow I'll share the file.
