File Format Problem

Just got back into using Terragen 2. Looks great. Every time I save my render and try to open it in a photo program ex: Gimp, Windows Live Photo Gallery I have problems. The gimp keeps crashing and Live Photo Gallery says "Windows Live Photo Gallery can't fix this photo because of its photo format.". Its only a *.bmp. Shouldn't it work?

Mine open just fine.... Something must be up.

Move to tg2 support probably.

Can your programs open ANY BMP file?

Yeah I can open them just fine. If I try to do anything with them I have problems. Maybe its a Vista thing

Nope, many of us run vista, I run vista x64 along with quite a few others too.

Something must be causing corruption of the image when you save it in TG2. Can you upload one maybe? Does the filesize only say its 0kb or anything like that?

Aparently Windows Live Photo Gallery won't let you fix *.bmp. Hmmm.

I have no idea why Gimp crashes. All I try to do change levels and it crashes.

Ya know. I bet its just a problem with the GIMP and Vista. Normal photos are now making it crash. Sorry guys.

Windows Live Photo and the Gimp have problems working together. Load the image into Windows Paint, which installs with Windows, and save it again. This should work.
