Haven't done a lot of water renders before.  So I was playing around.  Very simple.  Comments and suggestions would be appreciated.

You have zoomed in to the water so tight, it needs more wave noise. I would blend a power fractal into the water shader. Use very small displacement, probably along the vertical axis. It will help break up the 'dunes' on the waters surface.
Other than that, it's a nice render.

Good idea! Water in the foreground is really very strange with its sinusoidal!

I like this concept, very original.

As mentioned the waves need some work.
It's a pity, in my opinion, that the watershader of TG2 is so ridged compared to TG0.9x.
Everything in TG2('s water) is better except the waters' noise-function.
Making smooth water with more curvy waves instead of sharp ridges is very hard.
You can reduce the small scale size further but it will give bad results I think.

The fractal displacement in TG2's water is almost exactly the same as the fractal in v0.9. The difference is that in v0.9 you couldn't control the smallest scale. It was always smaller than a micropolygon - you can do the same in TG2 by reducing the smallest scale.

(Not including differences in wind patches, lighting/shading effects etc.)

It could be greatly improved though.
Just because milk is white doesn't mean that clouds are made of milk.
