Very nice sky in particular, Jay! I like the clouds and how they are lit, looks very real.
The terrain I am not so excited about - yet, because I think it has potential if there were plants, roads, roadhouse etc.. to lend scale to the scene.

Thanks guys! I'll run over to Renderosity and buy some Poser Girls to throw in there.    I'll see what I can do about some plants and structures, maybe some cows too.  Be back later!

I would be tempted to put some World of Warcraft babes in there.

I think it's pretty damned photo real. I'm not sure if plants would spoil that. Great clouds and lighting.

Damn good render! The clouds are very cool and the texturing is excellent.
Is it procedural or have you used images?

Thanks All, no images all procedural. I did blend the strata with the painter shader though.

I agree about the need for some vegitation to help give some scale to the image, but besides that the texturing is absolutely gorgeous!

Agree about the all-round excellence of the clouds and texturing. For veg, perhaps some of Walli's dry bushes if you have them? But no cows please (perhaps a wild mustang or two  )

The atmosphere is to be typed the bottom by ground!
In French : "L'atmosphère est à se taper le cul par terre !"
